REST & BE THANKFUL Rum Monymusk MMW 1998

THE PROCESS

This rum is distilled at the famous Monymusk Distillery (also called Clarendon Estate) in Jamaica. It bears the MMW (Monymusk Wedderburn) mark, which indicates, among other things, distillation in a pot still and a target ester level at the distillation port of between 200 and 300 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. This rum was aged for over 24 years in an American oak cask, initially in a tropical climate before being transported to Scotland for the second part of maturation. Bottled in Scotland in February 2023 in just 105 copies. Dye free and cask strength.

Smoky, dried fruit, spicy.
