Our 100-gallon Armagnac oak barrels are made from century-old white oak trees from the nearby forests of Monlezun and FrĂȘche, known for their excellence in brandy. In our cellars, the evaporation of eau-de-vie, "la part des anges," undergoes a natural reduction process due to the constant exchange between the eau-de-vie, the fibers of the oak and the surrounding air.
On the nose, Armagnac De Montal 1988 reveals notes of citrus, pear, spicy cake and oak. On the palette, these notes are further enriched, creating a profound flavor experience with a harmonious balance of citrus and pear, accompanied by subtle hints of spicy cake and the warmth of oak. The finish reveals notes of hazelnut and roasted toffee, creating a delicious aftertaste of complex flavors.
