The 100-gallon Armagnac oak barrels are made from century-old white oak trees from the nearby Monlezun and FrĂȘche forests, known for their outstanding brandy. In our cellars, the evaporation of eau-de-vie, "la part des anges," undergoes a natural reduction process due to the constant exchange between the eau-de-vie, the fibers of the oak and the surrounding air.
On the nose, the 1990 vintage reveals a seductive vanilla scent, followed by the taste of toasted nuts. On the palate, the senses are caressed by the rich flavor of vanilla, while subtle notes of toasted nuts enrich the taste experience. The finish is silky and lingering, with a delicate balance between sweet vanilla and warm nuts.
