Bache-Gabrielsen Pineau Charentes Rouge

THE PROCESS

The Pineau des Charentes Bache-Gabrielsen Rouge is made from red grape varieties from the Charentais vineyards. It is made on the day of harvest, by blending red grape juice which is rich in sugar, and a very young high alcohol content cognac.

The classic Pineau Des Charentes needs to be aged for at least one year.

TASTE PROFILE

There is an explosion of red fruit on the nose. The pallet features berries such as cherries, blueberries and blackberries. This is accompanied by a light sweetness and hints of all-spice. The finish is dominated by vanilla and pomegranate.

HOW TO DRINK:

Pure, preferably chilled. Goes well with raw-meat and cheese.
