Berry Bros & Rudd is England's oldest independent bottler, having been around since 1698. The company has become known for the quality wines and Single Cask whisky's they select.
This beautiful distillery is located at the foot of the Ben Rinnes hill. This Speyside distillery was founded in 1826. To date, the distillery has only launched one whisky under its own name, which is why it is all the more difficult to put a finger on what characterizes this distillery. A special detail of the distillery is that the two wash stills are almost twice as large as the distillery's two spirit stills.
The whisky is from 2010 and bottled in 2023. With a maturation in hogshead barrels, this whiskey has developed a rich, complex taste. 1067 bottles of this Small Batch whisky were bottled at an ABV of 46%.
On the nose honey and flowers. On the palate flavours of lemon, green apple and vanilla. The finish is very smooth and medium-long.
Neat.
