THE PROCESS

Berry Bros & Rudd is England's oldest independent bottler, having been around since 1698. The company has become known for the quality wines and Single Cask whisky's they select.


In the series called Nordic Release, Berry Bros & Rudd looked for the best Single Casks that the Scandinavian countries had to offer. They ended up at Stauning distillery for this barrel. This distillery is located in Denmark. By using local grain, Stauning makes an authentic Danish product.

This whisky was distilled in 2017 and is made from rye. The whisky has been finished in muscatel barrels and was bottled in 2022. A limited number of bottles, namely 254, are bottled at a cask strength of 58.9% alcohol.

TASTE PROFILE

On the nose fruit and dark spiced. On the palet notes of rye, strawberry marmelade and cinnamon. The finish is long and dates.
