THE PROCESS

The Pioneers is an innovative new project by Berry Bros & Rudd in which they sought out the 10 most progressive distilleries in terms of sustainability. Each distillery has its own challenges and with them its own solutions. This series includes a bottling from Agitator in Sweden that lowers the air pressure in the stills to reduce the need to heat the still. With the use of 40PPM, smoke returns to the whisky and this, along with all the other flavours, gives a true umami experience.

TASTE PROFILE

On the nose mushrooms, smoke and dried fruits. On the palate smoke, leather, fruit en biscuit. The finish is long and bring dried fruit.

Neat.
