BERRY BROS & RUDD - SC High Coast Peated ex-lochindaal cask 2012 #4333

THE PROCESS

Berry Bros & Rudd is England's oldest independent bottler, having been around since 1698. The company has become known for the quality wines and Single Cask whiskies they select.

In the far north of Sweden stands the High Coast Distillery. This area is known for its extremely cold winters and extremely hot summers and thus barrels that are very active. In addition, local water is drawn from the Ã…ngerman River and the average fermentation time is around 82 hours. With these and a number of other factors, High Coast Distillery aims to distinguish itself from other distilleries.

This Single Cask was selected by Jonny McMillan who has proven to have a golden nose for good Single Casks. The whisky has had a finish on ex-lochindal casks, this combined with the use of peat gives a beautiful smoky Single Cask with an edition of 243 bottles.
