From the north of Scotland to the south coast of England: the Spring Release 2023 from independent bottler Berry Bros. & Rudd showcases the wealth and breadth of distilling talent on the British coast.
Glen Garioch and Sherry wood are one of the best whiskey combinations in the world. That is why this robust malt has matured for the past two years in a first-fill ex-sherry cask.
The bouquet is composed of dark chocolate and tea leaves, with notes of plum cake and spicy raisins that emerge over time. This single malt has an incredible body and the taste is particularly thick, with the dried fruit, wood smoke, blackberry and oak spices demanding your full attention. The aftertaste is long and offers a perfect balance between fruit, spices, smoke and sherry wood. It is a perfect marriage between wood and distillate.
