BERRY BROS & RUDD - Lochindaal 2010 Cask #4339

THE PROCESS

Berry Bros & Rudd is England's oldest independent bottler, having been around since 1698. The company has become known for the quality wines and Single Cask whisky's they select.

Lochindaal was formerly a distillery on Islay. The distillery was built in the town of Port Charlotte in1829, with the prospect of making whisky from the peaty water from the Rhinns of Islay. In 1929, the distillery closed its doors.

The currently existing brand of Lochindaal whisky is named after the loch on which the towns of Port Charlotte and Bruichladdich lie. The producer is Bruichladdich Distillery, who aims for the middle ground between the smokiness of Port Charlotte and the smokiness of Octomore with this whisky.

This Single Cask whisky has been aged in first fill bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength.

Only 225 bottles bottled on a cask strength of 59,8% ABV.
