YAMAZAKURA - Asaka Peated Single Cask Malt

THE PROCESS

This Japanese Single Malt was made by the Asaka Distillery for Craft Spirits Netherlands. The distillery is located in Fukushima. Some of the malted barley is turfed and comes from Scotland. The barley was then fermented and distilled in Japan. After several years in barrel, the whiskey was bottled at a Cask Strength with an alcohol content of 63.5%

TASTE PROFILE

On the nose an elegant smoke. On the palette full-bodied with notes of citrus. The finish is firm and spicy.
